First and foremost, I’m a storyteller…I think it’s the Irish in me.  Have you ever been to Ireland?  Everyone there has the most wonderful stories and they’re always ready to share.  Your wedding is a story.  Actually, I like to think of it as the beginning of a wonderfully long and loving story.  It is my privilege to witness and to photograph your most wonderful day.

 

I began with ambitions of being an illustrator – which I still plan on returning to – and was quite taken with photography while studying painting at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts.  After earning my BFA, I eventually I found my way to wedding photography and now, 12 years later, I have a remarkable profession.  SMD Photography, along with my alter-ego of high school art and photography teacher, has allowed me to express myself as an artist in so many ways.
